Products

The products are used to configure the system for invoicing and to ensure synchronization with the accounting system.

The Products page allows you, among other things, to consult, modify or create various products in your environment Membri 365

Browse products​

To have access to the list of all the products in your system,

  • Go to the Configuration menu
  • Select the Products page in the Sales section of the menu
  • Select a product to have access to its parameters

Several system views allow you to better consult the products in your environment by applying filters on the complete list of all products. The latter is the one displayed by default.

Create a product​

  • From the Configuration menu, navigate to the Products page

  • Select + New in the toolbar to open the New Product form

  • Fill in the various fields of the General tab:

Name​

This field determines the name that the product will have in the system.

Description​

It is possible to enter a description for each product.

Product ID​

This feature is in development. It will be added to a future version of Membri 365

This identifier is unique and makes it possible to bring out this information during the accounting reconciliation.

Product type​

Products are defined by type. There are currently 6 different types.

Ticket typeThese are the products to define the ticket types of the events.
Membership PackageThese are the products for memberships and renewals. They are indicated in the subscription option sets.
DelegateThese are the products for Additional Delegates, Membership, Renewal or Delegate Membership, they are shown in the Subscription Option Sets if this allows delegates.
Membership optionThese are the products for the options when joining or renewing. They are indicated in the subscription options.
Discount codeThese are the products for the system discount codes.
ServiceThese are the products for sponsorships and contracts. They are used in the definition of partnerships or in the products of contracts.
OthersThese are all the other products in the system.
Default price​

This is the price that will be indicated by default when using this product. It is always possible to change the default price later. It is also possible to indicate another price during invoicing.

note

For example, if you use this product for your tickets and the default price is $ 50, it is possible to change it in the ticket creation.

However, we recommend that you indicate default prices for products that do not change prices.

tip

We could for example think of a product for gift certificates valued at $ 25. It makes sense that the default price for such a product is $ 25 since it won't have to change.

This field should be considered as a way to save time during invoicing.

Product number and Ledger Number​

Product numbers and ledger numbers are used to bridge the gap with the accounting system or to produce advanced reports.

The product or ledger number must correspond to a product or a ledger in the accounting system:

Product group​

This feature is in development. It will be added to a future version of Membri 365

Grouping products within a product group allows you to group the products for each of the banners in your organization. This allows, among other things, to track the sales objectives of each banner.

Create a product group​

  • From the Configuration menu, navigate to the Product Groups page in the Sales section of the menu.

  • Select + New in the toolbar to open the New Product Group form

  • Name and describe the new product group

  • Select Save in the toolbar to create the group in the system

  • From the Products module which is displayed after the creation of the group, select + New Product to create a product to add to this product group or select Add Existing Product to choose an existing product from the product list in your environment.

  • Repeat the previous step for all the other products in the group

  • Select Save & close in the toolbar to validate the creation of the product group.
